Events for 6 August 2026

Leicestershire’s character is shaped by its people, its places and the stories woven between them. You are invited to celebrate local landmarks, forgotten tales and honour the every day at this free exhibition at CAN HQ! Running from the 5th to the 23rd of August, join us from 6pm to 8pm on the 5th for a free opening evening, or pop in any time!

There will be two sessions running: Morning Session 10:30am – 12:30pm & Afternoon Session 1:30pm – 3:30pm Ahoy shipmates, come an’ join us on the high seas of the 1620s lawn, where there’ll be a great gathering of fearsome pirates! Join in with the best dressed pirate competition, sea shanty singing, cutlass training, treasure hunt, join a captain’s crew and man the guns for a great pirate battle! Normal admission applies, plus £3 per child – there’s no need to pre-book, just turn up and pay on the day. Aaargh!!!
