The Journeymen are a 4 piece band, dedicated to playing the music of Eric Clapton. The Journeymen will take you on a journey through Eric’s extensive 60 Year career, from his humble beginnings with The Yardbirds, into his stint with John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers, continuing with the first Super group, Cream, onto Blind Faith, then Derek and The Dominos and finishing with his solo career. John & Ingrid Millington are the proprietors of Hillview Hardy Plants, situated near the historic market town of Bridgnorth. They grow and nurture their own nursery grown cottage garden perennials, with a particular interest in Auricula, Primula, and hold national collections of Auricula, Acanthus and Albuca. They will be sharing their tips and hints for growing Auricula and Primulas. Members £2, visitors £4 – includes refreshments. All welcome, please come along!

The Ibstock Safari Exhibition has been created by local groups and organisations, as a sneak peak ahead of July’s safari led by the Palace, Ibstock. Launching on Wednesday 13th May, activities will include the meeting of snakes, talks about the importance of conservation and getting creative with some nature related crafting! Open Monday Saturday 10am until 4pm

Whether it is a Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast, Morris dancing, children’s crafts, local bands and singers, historical re-enactment or something more unusual… there is always something to entertain the whole family at the Moira Canal Festival. There will be a planned Battle of Britain Memorial Flight flypast, music with an assortment of bands and singers over the weekend. Morris dancing will liven things up, there will be crafty fun and entertainment for the children, live steam, train rides, a variety of stalls and demonstrations, boats, bar and refreshments This will all revolve around the banks of the Ashby Canal [...]

The Ashby BID are very excited to announce that the Ashby Soapbox Derby will be held in the town on Sunday May 17th 2026. Bath Grounds, Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire 11am until 5pm The aim of the event is to provide a community event for individuals and families in a safe environment. The event will consist of a range of food and drink vendors, live music & children’s rides. The site will be fenced off using 6ft Heras fences. There will be a £2 entry fee charge for all public with under 16’s free.
