One of our most popular events returns this July as we host the top plant nurseries which are sure to have something special for every garden. There will be a fabulous line-up of specialist nurseries coming along to make it a special trip out for all garden lovers. Awesome Tudor Activities 2026 Join our noble knight for an exciting day of Tudor themed activities, games and crafts in the wonderful setting of our House & Gardens. There will be a repeat programme of activities running throughout the day. Activities will include: Welcome to the Tudor Age Sword School Arming a Knight Jousting Kids battle £5 per child. Colonel Robert Overton’s Regiment of Foote are a 17th Century re-enactment group representing an Infantry Regiment within the Parliamentarian New Model Army at the time of the English Civil Wars. They will be garrisoned at the 1620s House where you can witness exciting military demonstrations (including musket fire!) and you can meet members of the company including the Commanding Officer, laundress, blacksmith and cooks to discover what life was like during the Civil Wars.
