Pop in to explore the exhibition from August 26th to September 13th. You're also invited to join the Society for an opening evening at CAN HQ, from 6pm to 8pm on August 26th! The exhibition and event are totally free to attend.

Hello Heritage 2026 is a free, month‑long celebration of North West Leicestershire’s rich history and culture, running 1–30 September. The festival brings villages and towns to life with heritage boards, guided walks, open days, exhibitions and hands‑on activities. The Way We Were – How We Gardened 60 Years Ago – with Doug Stewart

Doug has been gardening since he was a child. He trained as a horticulturist, working in the industry before spending 20 years in horticultural education. He is now an author, a senior examiner and professional associate with the RHS and a horticulture business consultant. He co-presents a garden phone in show on BBC radio Humberside and is a popular speaker. Doug is a self confessed plant nerd. On this return visit, Doug will be taking us back in time in the world of gardening. Members £2, visitors £4 – includes refreshments. All welcome, please come along!
